An Inexpensive Desk from Working from Home

Working From Home: Inexpensive Desk

I work at a laptop in my home. A couple years ago, I developed back pain that was aggravated by excessive sitting. My mobile stand up desk has been the solution to working at a desk without back discomfort.

It was a beautiful day so I moved my office outside!

A bonus feature of this particular desk is the wheels allow it to be moved around the house and out on the deck. Check out the link by clicking the Amazon advertisement below. Let me know what you think in the comments.

How to post GIFs made with Procreate on iPad to Social Media

How to post GIFs made with Procreate on iPad to social media

This is what I discovered through trial and error:

To post on Facebook and Instagram, go to Share under Actions in Procreate app. Choose to Share Animated MP4.

After choosing speed and exporting, click on Facebook or Instagram icon to add comment and share.

10-2021 Update: Instagram requires a minimum length of 3 seconds for animations, and I recently had trouble posting a 4 second animation. Add as much length as you can, without diluting the content, for success with Instagram.

To post on Twitter, I downloaded the Animated GIF to my iPhone from an email. You can also Airdrop the GIF to your iPhone.

Open the Twitter app, choose the tweet icon, and select the GIF from your photos.

Add comment and Share.

My Favorite Things: Mobile Phone Gimbal

The author using Osmo Gimbal on bird watching trip.

A gimbal holds your phone/camera and eliminates or significantly reduces shake due to photographer movement. The DJI OSMO Mobile 3 gimbal has a great app with many options for photography and videography. I use the Mobile 3 with an iPhone 8.

Below is a video taped in hyperlapse mode with the DJI app. It's an interesting effect that transforms a boring walk along the road. There are other features of the app that improve the video capabilities of your phone.

The link below is for the OSMO Mobile 3 kit which I highly recommend over the gimbal by itself. The kit includes hard and soft cases and an attachable tripod. These are good to have so go ahead and get them as a kit and save yourself some inconvenience.

Disclaimer: If you click on the Amazon link for the gimbal kit, I may receive a few cents for driving traffic to the retailer. Thanks for your interest!
